Love is Thicker than Blood | Orange County Family Photographer

So, just the other day my husband suggested to me that I not post as many pictures from one photo session on the blog, he just thought it was a little over kill.  I took his words into consideration, but ironically, while struggling to narrow down my selection for this shoot, I was forced to purchase more storage space for my blog because I had used up my allotted amount.  Not being able to make decisions and eliminate some photos cost me five big ones.  Rats.

I have nothing but great things to say about this family! They are so happy and full of love and seriously enjoyable to be around.  I am so excited to shoot their wedding in February - I know it is going to be a good one :)

What do you call family that is your family but not really your family?  Cousins?  That is what I will call these people, my cousins.  My sister's in-laws were in town from Minnesota so I got to take their family Christmas photos.  It was a fun shoot, somewhat random location (not that random really...but when we first pulled up it looked like some kind of dirty concrete reservoir, I wasn't sure how these were going to turn out) but after walking a few minutes we found some pretty spots that seemed to work out kind of great.  I am still laughing to myself because the two "standing up" photos I am posting are in different locations but basically the exact same pose in both of them.  Ha.  I guess we could have gotten a little more creative :)  Love you guys - thanks for letting me hang out with all of you and taking some pictures :)

Down on the Farm

This photo shoot was a nice change of pace...with so many family shoots happening right now, it was fun to do something a little different.  Don't get me wrong, family shoots are great, but mixing it up a little bit is always kind of a treat.  This couple decided to take photos at Strawberry Farms; the plan was to incorporate the pumpkin patch, but unfortunately we did the shoot a few days after Halloween and the pumpkin patch was closed off and everything was picked over.  Instead we found some other great spots and I love love the corn stalks :)
