Isn't it fun to have a new baby at home just in time for the holidays? I think so! :) Babies bring so much joy, what else could make for a better gift?

Fire Station Field Trip
I so totally enjoyed this photo shoot! This family was referred to me by some of my favorite past clients, and going into it I was thinking that they were going to be cool...but I was still so happy to find out that they really were cool. Everything just came naturally for this shoot...we hung out, walked around, and explored Manhattan Beach (which was also fun for me because that is not my regular stomping ground). We started off taking pictures outside the fire station and just as we were about to move on to our next location one of the firemen came out and offered to give us a little tour of the station and to see the fire trucks. It was fun switching things up, and the little fire station field trip made this shoot pretty unique. I know I posted a lot of pictures, there was just such a variety I was having a hard time narrowing it down!

Life's good on our boat
- Jimmy Buffett
This is my husband and my 2 1/2 year old down by the San Clemente Pier. I don't post a lot of family pictures on this blog very often, but I felt the need to share these - I love them. How can you not love beach sunset silhouette pictures? And, Jimmy Buffett is a family obsession of ours...which explains the quote :)

Obsessed. | San Clemente Family Photographer
Beware...I am obsessed with these pictures. Everything about this shoot was pretty much perfect. We shot at one of my favorite locations, the clothes were amazing, and do I even have to mention how beautiful this family is? Check it out...I love love.
So tell me, do you love these as much as I do?! I love them so much I even stayed awake until 2AM Sunday morning to get them all edited and posted...now that is dedication ;)

A New Favorite Location | Manhattan Beach Family Photographer
Today I went up to Manhattan Beach for a photo shoot. Since I am from San Clemente and don't head up that way very often, I left it up to my clients to pick a spot. Sometimes going to a location blindly is a little scary...you never know what kind of light you are going to get, what the atmosphere will be like, etc. etc. And although it can be a little scary, it is also exciting to switch it up and try something new. Today was one of those days where I was surprised with a great location! We took pictures by the fire station (one of the firefighters came out and even gave us a little tour...who knew I would be going on a field trip today?), took a little stroll, and got some fun shots in this little shopping/dining area. I so want to go back to Manhattan Beach and shoot there more often, I loved it. In fact, I loved it so much I think it might be a new favorite place of mine...
Oh ya, and working with a great family is always a treat too :)

Three Sisters | San Clemente Family Photographer
I have a couple more shoots ahead of this family before I can edit all of their images, but I am so looking forward to it. How beautiful are these girls? When I first started my little photography business I used the two oldest girls as my models to help build my portfolio. Since then I have taken picture for their mom's blanket business (check it out...My Nochi), and I also did the newborn photos of little Lola. I love how they look like they are straight out of thr J.Crew Crewcuts catalog, it is just too much for me to even handle.

Balloons at the Train Depot | San Juan Capistrano Children's Photographer
Love this location (if you hadn't already figured it out) and I loved this lighting. After lots of rainy gloomy days we scored some warm weather and a bright sky. About 6 months ago I had a photo session with this little girl, this was my first time working with her older brother too. We had some challenges (balloons accidentally being let go into the sky, causing some frustration and possibly a tear) but all in all I think things turned out pretty good :)
